Parts of the church date back 900 years, but most of it is 15th century. It has a good example of a large clear glass west window, dating from the 15th century.
5 tons of lead was stolen off the main nave roof in late September 2019. The nave was covered in sheets of lead, and virtually all the lead on the nave was removed in one night. This project will replace the lead with terne-coated stainless steel. Changing from lead to stainless steel and installing a roof alarm system should prevent further metal theft and help ensure the long-term viability and availability of the church as a resource for the village.
