Help us to support churches for the next 200 years

 St Nicholas, Droitwich

This year we are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Incorporated Church Building Society, our predecessor charity, set up in 1818 to build and enlarge thousands of church buildings during the Industrial Revolution. The ICBS also provided hundreds of thousands of pew spaces across the country for everyone to use.

Continuing the work of the ICBS, the National Churches Trust provides essential grant funding for church repairs, maintenance and modernisation. We give churches expert advice on how to look after their building, so that places of worship remain open, accessible, and in good condition. Since 1953 we have awarded over £85 million in grants to places of worship across the UK, and have helped more than 12,000 buildings stay open.

With no income from the government or church authorities, we rely on the support of people like you to continue our work. Please help us to support more churches, chapels and meeting houses by making a donation today.
