St Wilfrid

St. Wilfrid’s church and attached hall stand alongside Trevelyan Drive, a main road through the 1960s Newbiggin Hall housing estate. The Church was built in 1967 to serve the new housing estate.

The main church has no toilet or kitchen facilities. The hall is to be demolished and the church reconfigured to include a welcome area, toilet, meeting room and kitchenette to make the space more multi-functional and usable by the wider community.  The church hall will be used whilst the work to the church is undertaken and then demolished.
