Times

There is no set start time, talk to me about when you would like to meet. The tour lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Dates

Available everyday except Saturdays and Sundays, due to limited opening times at St Paul’s. Corpus Christi is open on Saturday, so I could operate the walk and show the outside of St Paul’s if desired.

Because we visit churches, the tour is not available on major Christian holidays like Christmas, Easter, Good Friday and some other saints and other special feast days. Please get in touch to check.

Price

£240 per group.

15% (£40 for each tour booking) will be donated to the churches, meaning that your Experience directly benefits the preservation of these incredible buildings.

See the most amazing hidden gems, churches and alleyways of Covent Garden.

We start our walk in Tottenham Court Road tube station, walking to Denmark Street the Tin Pan Alley of the music businesses with more independent music shops than any where else.

Discover the back streets of Covent Garden with little hidden alleyways, little square’s like Neal’s Yard and many others.

See the iconic Piazza with the stunning market hall and Opera House. London’s newly restored Theatre Royal, restaurants, fashion boutiques, boutique hotels. Places associated with Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and Jane Austin to name a few. Stories from Pygmalion, Punch and Judy and then we visit the Actors church of St Paul’s with many memorials to the great and good of the stage from Charlie Chaplin to Vivien Leigh. Soak in the atmosphere of the bustling Piazza before we finish at a beautiful church hidden away in Maiden lane, Corpus Christi the Catholic actors church, dazzling with colour and atmosphere.

The tour is appropriate for everyone, it's great for families who love to explore.

There is no set start time, talk to me about when you would like to meet. The tour lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours.

We start outside Tottenham Court Road tube station and finish at the Strand Palace Hotel / Charing Cross Station. 

This walking tour requires comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather, an umbrella is often a good idea in London! There are some cobbles and uneven surfaces.


Facilities & refreshments

There are no toilets available at the start of the tour but there are public toilets available in the Piazza about halfway through. Visitors can access public toilets if they leave the tour.

There are many and varied places to eat and drink around Covent Garden.

The best option when visiting London is always to use public transport. There are nearby car parks but the Congestion Charge will apply when driving into the city. There is a coach park outside the Strand Palace Hotel, and coach bays on Russell Street, but the driver must stay with the coach.


Accessibility

The tour is on foot throughout. We will be able to sit in the churches. There are some cobbles and uneven surfaces.
