A rural Norfolk village church.

This medieval church was built between the 12th and early 15th centuries with the oldest part, the tower, having been famously described as curious and interesting, the internal roofs to the porch and north aisle are considered to be fine examples of medieval woodwork.

Perhaps the most beautiful of the great English cathedrals, it was erected between the 12th and 15th centuries and is a significant Somerset landmark.

Its tall, splendid 15th century west tower is surely the main reason why this outstanding parish church is quite often mistaken for Wells Cathedral.

Wells United Church is a pioneering church, in 1917 the two chapels in Union Street, Wells merged together to form one United Church, a merger approved by a special Act of Parliament.

A 13th century church which belonged to the Knights Templar & Hospitallers, the grave of Saint John Kemble lies in the church yard.

This oldest parts of this church date from the 13th century, when a simple rectangular building with a tower was erected on the hillside.

This peaceful church lies in the centre of village, surrounded by a beautiful graveyard and sheltered from the road by mature trees.

Always open to visitors, St Martin's is a peaceful, numinous church where people come to meditate and be refreshed.

A lovely church with fine features including Christ Hospital Window, Memorial Window (planes of WW1 and submarines), Standards from Old Scampton RAF camp, stencilling on ceiling above chancel and alleged gravestone of the Lincolnshire poacher in the churchyard.
