St James church is a Grade II* beautiful Victorian building designed by SS Teulon, which is much admired and appreciated by all and a focal point for all the village to congregate.

St James, built in 1859, is situated on the downs between Wantage and Newbury.

Our brick and flint church was designed by SS Teulon and provides a welcoming and unusual setting for worship. All are very welcome.

  • Communion every fourth Sunday at 8am for 45 minutes. Holy Communion every second Sunday at 11am for an hour. Coffee is served at 10.40am prior to the service.
