All Saints

The church was built in the mid-19th century and was paid for by two local noble families supported by local cotton manufacturers. The church's first vicar, Mr Verity, was a great supporter of the development of trade unionism and had a real commitment to the poor.

The project will focus on repairs to the tower, spire and internal fabric of the church, which is suffering from water damage.
