Aghadowey Presbyterian Church
Built in 1830, the Aghadowey Presbyterian Church is very large; It was orginally built to accommodate a sizable congregation made up of linen mill workers who lived and worked close by. Last year the congregation celebrated the 200th anniversary of the journey made by the Revd McGregor, who organised the first migration of settlers to New Hampshire from Northern Ireland.
The project will address external repairs to the church which were first identified as urgent in 2016. While costs have increased in the last three years active local fundraising is continuing and work is scheduled to start in April 2019.
