Findhorn Church

This simple village church in the small coastal community of Findhorn was built in the mid 19th century as a Free Church and has survived without much alteration to this day, although it is now Church of Scotland. The church is located close to the coastline in the centre of Findhorn and is aligned approximately east-west. The village is situated on a peninsula a short distance north-west of Kinloss.

The church was build in 1818 and has links with St Drostan who landed at Aberdour Beach and brought Christianity to the north east of Scotland.

The Cathedral is a 13th century church set in the heart of the Royal Burgh of Dornoch, seeking to serve the wider community in which it lies along with its sister churches.

Croick Church

This pretty little church, which is still in use, is well known for the messages etched in the church window by families cleared from the surrounding land in 1845 as part of the infamous Highland clearances.

Thurso URC

Thurso, Highland | KW14 7JB

In 1799 the Congregational church was built at Thurso seafront. In 1871 owing to the poor condition it was decided to build somewhere else.

Italian Chapel

Lamb Holm, Orkney Islands | KW17 2SF

Today the chapel stands after seventy years, as a reminder of a faith that flourished in adversity, and as a memorial to the genius of its Italian prisoner of war builders.

Salvation Army Church & Community Hall
