Welcome to our stunning church, whose architecture, furnishings, history and heritage have been shaped by over 900 years of faith and worship.

Buxton Methodist Church plays an important role at the heart of our community, prominently located on Buxton Market Place, where it is often the first port of call for those seeking help in our community, for visitors to the town and new arrivals.

A 13th century church set on the banks of the River Wye.

The church of St Andrew was built in 1794 to replace earlier buildings on the site.

St John's is a very fine example of Victorian architecture, originally opened in 1879 and, following a fire, reopened in 1897 with one of the tallest spires in northern England.

St Thomas's is built of green sandstone.

St Peter's sits in the heart of the village, it is a delightful church containing some fine treasures.

So small in fact it doesn’t appear on some of the larger scale maps, the brick church of St Peter sits peacefully on the hillside of this rural hamlet.

A grade II listed Victorian mission church built in 1846 with the vestry added in 1895, it was badly damaged by an earthquake in 2008 and story of the rebuild is told in photographs in the church.

This church with its medieval porch, dates back to the 12th century and has several important historical features including an ancient font,stained glass windows,a rood screen and interesting brasses and is set in a beautiful, well maintained churchyard.
