St Vedast sits on the highest point in village with commanding views of Tathwell Lake.
The church contains many fascinating monuments to the Hamby and Chaplin families who once owned the village and vast acres of Lincolnshire. The east window commemorates the Chaplin brothers and also includes their weeping mother.

St Vedast was a french bishop associated with healing miracles and wise teaching. There are only two churches dedicated to Vedast in Britain, and so here is a rarity! Inside you will see him depicted in stained glass. His feast day is February 6th, the day on which he died in 539.
