New Town is the term for the central part of Edinburgh, built between 1765 and 1850, and the First New Town was the earliest part of the area.

Home of the National Shrine of St Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, the Cathedral provides a welcoming sanctuary and fully accessible space in the heart of the busy East End.

St Andrew’s church is rather special, and we in the parish are very proud of it. It is unusual as it is a wooden church, not stone like most in Edinburgh.

Set in a conservation village the church, built in 1160, remains one of the finest examples of a Norman church still in use in Scotland.

St Patrick's church, built 1892 located in the heart of the village knows as Derrymacash.

In creating this commanding church, architect Reginald Fairlie was said to be inspired by the Church of the Holy Rude in Stirling.

St Mark's Portadown was consecrated as St Martin's in 1826, and renamed St Mark's in 1872.

New Laigh Kirk has many unique features and attracts visitors, the stained glass windows are of national importance and there are links to Robert Burns and to the Covenanters.

The beautiful country parish church of St Patrick’s Cairncastle looks down over the scenic Ballygally bay, on a site that has been a place of Christian worship for over 800 years.

This church is a striking example of Edwardian church architecture, preserved beautifully both inside and out.

The church of Our Lady of Good Aid, Motherwell, designed in the Gothic revival style by the celebrated architects Pugin & Pugin, was opened in 1900.
