All Saints

All Saints Church is a Grade II listed building in poor repair. There is a need to reroof, and to tie the roof onto the gable ends where it is currently not so affixed. We have the original roof, dating from 1862. Tiles are arranged in a pattern and Historic England have stipulated that this is replicated in tiles as close to the original as possible. The building is on the Heritage At Risk register.

Isle Brewers was awarded £18,000 in July 2018. However, additional issues discovered onsite during work included issues with the spire that added an extra £100,000 to the total bill. In January costs rose a further £35,000 when it was deemed not possible for a trench arch drainage system, and instead had to join mains drainage. This NCT grant has closed the funding gap, enabling the project to soon get underway.
