Newlands church, set in the midst of the lovely Newlands Valley, is a haven of peace and tranquillity, it can be traced back to the mid 16th century, although it was substantially refurbished in the 1840s.

St Alkmund’s is the main landmark in the town, many visitors come each year and comment on the light interior, wonderful acoustic, warm welcome and prayerful atmosphere.

Long Sutton's tower, standing to one side of the church, was built in the 13th century and, until the 18th century had open arches at its base.

A good example of a working class chapel; built by mining families in the 1860s, beautiful in its simplicity.

The church overlooks the churchyard with a spectacular view of the Roman site of Letocetum which had grown around the Roman fort at the junction of Watling Street and Ryknild Street.

This ancient but much altered building houses some lovely stained glass windows, see especially the depiction of the Adoration of the Shepherds in the chancel.

St Michael & All Angels is set in a conservation area and provides a tranquil place to pause, reflect and feel refreshed.

The church is 13th to 15th century, with a small piece of medieval glass and notable 20th century stained glass by Theodora Salusbury.
