For many years St Barnabas has been known as ‘The Church on the North Downs Way’ and one unusual feature is that the main door faces away from the road since it was designed to be entered from the Great House.

The village of Ranskill dates back to the 9th century.

St Helen's is famous for its remarkable screen, a masterpiece made in about 1450.

The church of St John the Divine was planted as a daughter church of St Matthew, Rastrick around 90 years ago.

The church has been built in four stages from the 13th century to 15th century and restored by Nicholas Joyce in 1881.

A Grade II* listed village church of golden local Edge Hill stone, peaceful and welcoming and with several unexpected features!

The church stands on rising ground above the main road and the first thing you see is the great west end tower, richly ornamented, with spire above (the latter replaced in 1821 after a fire).

St Andrew’s church is rather special, and we in the parish are very proud of it. It is unusual as it is a wooden church, not stone like most in Edinburgh.

This gem of a church dates from the 18th century.

Rawmarsh Methodist Church was built in 1908.

This is a Grade I listed church building with a distinctive brick Tudor tower.

The church has a famous Pugin rood screen and set in front of it a marble nave altar and a Queen Anne pulpit from which the Wesley brothers have preached.
