Cherish grants

Status: Closed

Over the last three years in Wales/Cymru, Scotland and North West England through Cherish, the National Churches Trust has received funding to set up projects and grant streams to help keep churches in these areas open and in use.

Cherish grants for these areas have now been allocated, and the funding for these projects will come to an end this year, but this does not mean that we are going anywhere, nor are we preparing to wind down our support.

We are currently planning an array of training sessions and events to help churches and are working on some exciting new heritage trails to promote churches as brilliant places to visit. Through Cherish, we are also piloting a new mentoring scheme too.

So, if you need help with keeping your church, chapel or meeting house open and in good repair, please get in touch, no matter where you are based in the UK. We will be delighted to help you.

What’s more our normal grant programmes are open for business as usual – for churches UK wide.

Cherish is delivered in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fund and made possible thanks to National Lottery players.
