Carburton, Nottinghamshire

Cyfeiriad

Piper Lane
Carburton
Nottinghamshire
S80 3BW

It was probably owned by Welbeck Abbey until the time of the Reformation and closed for worship in 2017 although it is part of the parish administered by Worksop Priory.

The main part of the church dates from the 12th century, there are 12th and 13th century windows and a Norman font of a simple, early form. The bell turret dates to the 18th century as does a sundial located at the southwest angle of the nave. The whole building was restored in the 1880s.
