And, we are delighted to announce that after the lockdown of the last two years, we are busy developing our 2022 programme. This will include a selection of tours to churches across the UK, awards evenings celebrating the top churches and chapels in the country as well as a special Queen's Platinum Anniversary get together.

Ride and Stride for churches
Join thousands of others on the second Saturday in September and take part in Ride+Stride for churches - a sponsored cycle ride or walk which takes place between churches from Cornwall to Northumberland. We support this national event, delivered locally be the County Trusts nationwide. The money raised helps repair churches, chapels and meeting houses throughout England.Ride + Stride for churches
St Matthew's church, Surbiton, was named the UK's best maintained church. The Nayler Award and a prize of £7,500, was announced by Georgina Nayler MBE, former Director of The Pilgrim Trust. The awards celebrate the magnificent effort of the many thousands of volunteers who look after the UK's church buildings.
The Friends' Vote is where you get to have your say in the work that we do. Each year you chose a church that you feel is deserving of a £10,000 boost towards their building or renovation projects. St Michael, Llanfihangel y Creuddyn, Cardiganshire was awarded the 2021 Friends’ Vote.
Quarterly afternoon tea parties offering an enjoyable hour of fun, friendship and jollity. Special guest in June 2021 was Murray Craig, Clerk to the Chamberlain Court who regaled us with stories of the honour of Freedom of the City of London.
A rather special afternoon with our special guest, Hugh Dennis, award-winning actor, comedian and writer, who talked about his life, growing up in a vicarage and why he loves churches.
Celebrating the best in church building and repairs, the Awards, run by the National Churches Trust and the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association were held at the church of St Mary Magdalene in Paddington.
A walking tour of significant churches linked to the legend of Richard “Dick” Whittington and his celebrated cat. Led by Wing Commander Mike Dudgeon OBE DL we visited St Michael Paternoster Royal, St Mary-le-Bow, St Lawrence Jewry and St Mary Aldermary.
Led by Dr Rory O'Donnell, a Vice-President and a longstanding member of both the National Churches Trust and the Cathedral Art and Architecture Committee, we received expert insight to the design, plan and the ongoing mosaic decoration of the Cathedral. As an addition, we were invited for a guided visit to Archbishop’s House, noted for its magnificent Throne Room.
A glorious Autumnal day, perfect for exploring churches including St Andrew's Church, Alfriston known as the 'Cathedral of the Downs' as well as the 20th century Bloomsbury murals at St Michael and All Angels in Berwick.
