Situated just inside the Brecon Beacons National Park, it enjoys views across the Usk valley and is on a well used walking route.

St Aeddan’s is surrounded by three of Wales’s most historic Yew trees in a churchyard renowned for its beautiful setting at the crossroads of some of the Usk Valley’s most ancient walk paths, which draws walkers from Wales and beyond.

You can spot this church from miles away although it lies in the Cherwell Valley, its spire, dating from around 1370 is both the most beautiful and tallest in the county at 60 metres high.

One of the most rewarding of the county's churches to visit, all be it that it is best to arrive accompanied by a passenger otherwise you have to deal with the gated road from the village on your own!

A 13th century church, home to many outstanding features including an 18th century singers gallery, a listed pipe organ and 14th century stone effigies of the Astley family, considered to be some of the finest of their kind in the region. 

The church has been at the heart of the village of Woodford Halse since the 12th century although the church was substantially rebuilt in the late 19th century.

The church dates from Saxon times and stands at the centre of the village as it has done for centuries.

In a tiny hamlet right on the Welsh border, is a very special church, black and white both inside and out, and wonderfully picturesque and rustic looking.

The church is at the south end of the village adjacent to Eydon Hall, and oddly, both it and the hall post date this fascinating village.

Home of the oldest continuing Baptist fellowship in Wales, founded in 1652; the building itself is Grade II* listed and in the style of the 1870s.

After passing the splendid churchyard yew (over 1,000 years old), the latched door in the 14th century porch opens to reveal a church with a wall painting of St Christopher.
