An active parish church in the rural village of Bosley, nestled between the Peak District hills and the plains of Cheshire, come see the Commonwealth War grave, ancient sundial, railway memorial, or just enjoy the tranquil setting.

The church is made from a kaleidoscope of colours, greenstone, brick, limestone and red sandstone.

Surrounded by its beautiful, historic and thousand year old churchyard, the ancient church is one of the oldest in Lincolnshire.

It is believed that Holy Trinity is one of the 'four voices of four hamlets round... the merry, merry bells of Yule' found within the poem 'In Memorium AHH' by Alfred Lord Tennyson. Holy Trinity has Saxon origins but the current building was built in the 11th and 12th centuries. In 1859 the church was extensively altered by Victorian architect James Fowler.

St Ives is an early work (1868) by prolific architect Charles Hodgson Fowler, and its style is the plain 19th century reinterpretation of medieval Early English.

This modern brick church is the post war successor to St John’s, which was destroyed by enemy fire on 8th May 1941; the altar cross which was made into a processional cross for the new church.

Close to Wollaton Hall and provides a welcoming place for worship and as well as a range of community activities for people in the area.
