Standing proud atop the hill and commanding wonderful views from its peaceful setting, St Andrew’s has many outstanding features including the graceful and lofty arches in the nave and the 16 large clerestory windows.

A little church with a long name, the walls are made of reused Roman stones, we are only a mile or so south of the wall.

St Wilfrid's is a beautiful historic church on the river Lune, it is well known for its unique Viking cross which stands in the churchyard and has Pagan and Christian carving.
