St Helen’s is a magnificent church dating from 1857, which reveals the fascinating and unique history of the interwoven stories of estate, church and village.

A mile to the south of Leeds city centre our beautiful Victorian building sits at the heart of the Beeston Hill Community.

Externally it is the late 15th century tower that grabs one's attention.

St Andrew's dates from the time of King Henry II (1154 -89) and it still retains its Norman arcade as well as additions from every subsequent medieval century which give this church a rich and varied history.

A fine example of Victorian church architecture.

A Christus sculpture, by Peter Eugene Ball, hangs above the nave.

On entering the church stand for a moment and take in the excellent proportions of the building with its limestone nave built in 1430 and the chancel and tower of pink sandstone, constructed in 1480.

St Peter’s is a simple, but beautiful building at least 900 years old! It has the great attraction of being a quiet village church in the countryside although it is so close to Hull.

Salem Baptist Chapel dates from 1765.

Whilst the tower is medieval the church was so rebuilt in the 17th and 18th century that that is its overriding appearance.

St John's is a large stone Gothic style church, built in 1832 which is situated in the centre of Cleckheaton.
