Our original chapel was built here in 1812. The present chapel was opened in 1977 and is a good example of 1970s Modernism, relatively unaltered since it was built. The church was built with a bookshop attached, which is still open regularly. Founded as an Independent church in 1810, the church is today still very much in the Congregational tradition.
