St Leonard's is at the heart of the vibrant community of Penwortham - on the south bank of the River Ribble.

In 1843 this was and still remains, the first and largest post reformation Catholic church to be built in Cornwall.

For over 1300 years Pershore Abbey has been a centre for Christian worship and life, from its early beginnings as a Saxon monastery to today.

The church has always had a congregational presence since it was built, having previously belonged to the United Presbytery Church before uniting with various other congregations before being bought by the Church of the Nazarene.
