Our history is inexorably entwined with some of the most radical and progressive developments of the modern age, and yet the core principles at the centre of our congregation remain as true today as they were when the church began.

A small, beautifully kept, and welcoming country church with a fascinating history.

Standing in a beautiful valley deep in the Chilterns, this Quaker meeting house dates from 1688 and was one of the first to be purpose built.

St Helen's Cross is a beautifully preserved late 12th century stone, probably a votive cross to St Helen Empress and mother of the first Christian Emperor of Rome.

Built in 1860 and situated on rising ground and prominent on the main through road of Kelsall village.

St Mary's is a serenely beautiful Victorian church, friendly and inclusive, which doubles up as an atmospheric performance venue with a great vibe and super acoustic.

Early Quaker meetings in Kendal held at private houses. In 1687 a Friend bought the plot and building on the present site. This wonderful Grade II* listed building has a fascinating story to tell and like many other Meeting Houses, it’s well worth a visit!

In the heart of a beautiful Lakeland Valley, St Cuthbert’s church stands as a sentinel which dominates the landscape as a refuge, as a place of pilgrimage.

This delightful church was built in 1851-1852.

St Mary's stands on high ground above its very pretty village, which prospered during the late medieval cloth making boom.

St Mary's is a small rural church with a 12th century chancel and south door, a 15th century tower and many additions over the centuries.
