A Victorian church, stone built, it was designed in the popular neo Gothic style of the 1840s.

This church is on the edge of woodland off a lane on the eastern slopes of Long Mountain, looking across the Wales/England border to the Long Mynd, south of Shrewsbury.

There has probably been a church on the site since 1100AD.

The west entry through the tower porch into its splendid Georgian nave is an architectural surprise and constant attraction to visitors.

Built for less than £10, 000, this Grade II* listed building by Nugent Cachemaille-Day has sensational stained glass by Christopher Webb of heavenly hosts .

The church was built with money from a grant from the Joseph Rank Benevolent Fund.
