It was built on behalf of the then parish priest, Monsignor Patten who is depicted in a fine stained glass window in the south chapel.

The church has some fine fittings including stained glass in the chancel and chapel east windows by Paul Woodroffe around 1924-5, north chapel north window by Hardmans 1928, and the painted Chancel rererdos by Hardman's. It also has very fine Stations of the Cross

depicting the final journey of Jesus Christ to Calvary. The church is conveniently sited on the main street in the market town of Evesham. Services are held regularly in the church which is normally open daily throughout the year. The church retains much of the character of the original design and construction.
