St Tyfaelog's is situated in a grassy churchyard which slopes down to the east and set back from the main thoroughfare.

Come and see St Mary's church which was built in the 1200s to serve the people of the Old Town which is near to Pembroke Castle.

The magnificent pinaccled tower of St Giles, built around 1480, dominates the surrounding village and is reputed to be the best tower in the Mendips.

The church stands on a commanding position with magnificent views over the Blackmore Vale, an indication of the great age of the site, which goes back to the time of the Saxon Kings.

St Elwyn is located next to the estuary of Hayle near to three miles of golden sand and it has an imposing presence above the town.

The present church was probably built in the early 12th century and houses an important series of late medieval wall paintings executed shortly after the completion of the church in the mid 15th century.
