A fine medieval church with extensive 19th century restorations.

The first view one has of the village is that of the tower of the greenstone church of St Margaret with its dominating red clock. Created in 1787 by horologist Edmund Howard, the long drop clock is truly a remarkable piece of engineering.

This Grade I listed Gothic masterpiece is Pugin's model church and it embodies the principles he followed throughout his career.

High Toynton is a ‘doubly thankful’ village, it is one of only 14 churches in the UK where all the men came back from both World Wars.
