St Botolph's is one of the country's largest parish churches with its iconic tower, known as Boston Stump being the tallest to the roof of any parish church in England and one of the largest medieval towers in Britain.

There has been a building on the site since 1230, when Simon de Tynton was presented by William de Lisures to be the first Rector.

St Ives Free Church is one of the oldest nonconformist churches in the country, tracing its history right back to the 1630s when Oliver Cromwell lived in the town for five years.
