St Mary Magdalene, Geddington is one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Northamptonshire, with its Saxon Nave, Eleanor Cross (over the road), Early Norman, Late Norman, Medieval and Victorian improvements.

A late 13th and early 14th century gothic church with interventions in the 18th century including the pulpit, and in the 19th century the stained glass.

Overlooking the beautiful Ceiriog Valley, this impressive church traces its past over nearly a thousand years, with interiors depicting a rich history and strong links to the Myddeltons at Chirk Castle and the Trevors of Brynkinalt.

Our medieval church was built in the mid 13th century, and has splendid views over the North Downs.

Built in 1862 the church has been sympathetically enhanced by each generation adding stained glass, the 1899 organ, ad 1923 electricity.

The church stands on rising ground above the main road and the first thing you see is the great west end tower, richly ornamented, with spire above (the latter replaced in 1821 after a fire).

The church was rebuilt in Decorated Gothic style by the architect John Wing the younger for Sir John Palmer Bt in 1788.

This 18th century church has retained many outstanding features including a three tier pulpit; Nicholas Pevsner described it as 'Of the churches of the Early Gothic Revival this is one of the most remarkable in England'.
