An imposing late Victorian intrigue of grandeur and simplicity on one site.

This ancient village close to the Fosse Way takes its name from the Saxon king, Offa, who is recorded as having founded a church here to commemorate his son.

Known locally as the Cathedral on the Hills, our early medieval church has its snowdrop display at its best in February.

You can spot this church from miles away although it lies in the Cherwell Valley, its spire, dating from around 1370 is both the most beautiful and tallest in the county at 60 metres high.

St Michael's is one of the best preserved Norman parish churches in England, built around 1150-80.

Twyford's impressive church is set in a big, tree dotted churchyard in which there is a cross of very early date, probably 13th century.

The church is 13th to 15th century, with a small piece of medieval glass and notable 20th century stained glass by Theodora Salusbury.
