There is a peal of six bells, three of which are medieval, contained within the ancient tower which was repaired in 1970 when a new buttress was built.

Known as one of the best country churches in Somerset and is often called the Cathedral of the Levels.

The ancient cross in the churchyard is 15th century and two giant yews were grown to provide soldier’s bows and are said to be among the oldest in the diocese.
