The splendid tower can be seen for miles across the flat landscape that surrounds it.
The church is in a dominant location overlooking the village and surrounding areas. It is of architectural interest with engraved medieval pew ends, engraved stone bosses and a modern altar. It has historic links with Glastonbury Abbey and the Battle of Sedgemoor.
It is also the base of The Middlezoy Heritage Group who regularly arrange displays of the social history of the village.
'Wilding' of the churchyard is in progress to encourage a greater diversity of plants and wildlife.
