Recclesia was founded in 2009 by Jamie Moore and Geoff Moore, well known conservators in their fields of stone masonry and stained glass. The company has grown steadily since its inception and is today ranked amongst the most outstanding conservation specialists in the UK. Acting as Principal Contractor, Recclesia has successfully completed a very wide range of heritage contracts and specialist works to a very varied collection of historic buildings and sites.
Whilst the heart of the business remains loyal to our roots in masonry and glass conservation, Recclesia has broadened its in-house traditional skills base to include a specialist timber conservation division and architectural metalwork conservation workshops, and Heritage Consultancy.
We also offer expertise to clients who require condition surveys, and material analysis.
Recclesia Stained Glass is an outstanding specialist glass studio working across the UK and internationally from studios in Chester and Manchester. We offer expertise in the conservation and repair of historic stained and leaded glass, alongside the design and creation of new stained glass and leaded lights, and the conservation and creation of associated metalwork, protection and environmentally protective glazing.
Our team of conservators, artists and artisans has long-standing experience of glass conservation and creation, an accomplished set of traditional skills, and academic qualifications underpinning our approach and philosophy.
