I’m Tom Brown, a Master Stone Carver and QEST Scholar with over 25 years’ experience in traditional stone carving, masonry, restoration and conservation. I founded London Stone Carving and have worked on major historic and architectural projects including the Royal Albert Hall, St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, Pitzhanger Manor and Strawberry Hill. I now work as Tom Brown Stone Carver, undertaking ecclesiastical, heritage, architectural and private commissions across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London. My work includes conservation and repair of historic stonework, carved replacement, architectural carving, mouldings, tracery and ornament, lettering and inscriptions, headstones and memorials, sculpture, chimney pieces and fireplaces. I undertake both small specialist repairs and larger restoration projects, using traditional hand-carving and masonry techniques appropriate to historic buildings and church settings.

From roof repairs to running costs: fundraising for churches. UK wide service. GeckoFundraising Ltd raises money for churches of every denomination, for the building and for the work that happens inside it: roof and stonework repairs, reordering, accessible toilets and kitchens, community spaces and conservation projects, as well as revenue funding for outreach, staff, youth work, foodbanks, nightshelters and running costs. Building projects are different. Before most funders will commit, you need a faculty or your denomination's consent, a current Quinquennial Inspection or condition report, planning permission or listed building consent, a conservation architect's specification and, for roof repairs or replacement, a bat survey. We understand all of these, along with the RIBA stages, the Net Zero requirements that now shape heating and lighting decisions in churches, and, for new halls and extensions, BREEAM, so we can work alongside your architect, your PCC, church council or trustees, and your DAC or listed buildings committee, and turn their documents into applications that heritage funders recognise. Led by Amie Elliott, a fundraising consultant with almost 25 years' experience, in 2025/26 our clients saw £29 back for every £1 spent with us. Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and registered with the Fundraising Regulator. Not ready to appoint a consultant?
