Designed by Scottish architect RA Bryden, it has stained glass windows by renowned artists Stephen Adam and Gordon Webster.

The interior layout resembles a concert hall, with the choir behind the central pulpit in a raised and raked gallery and a horseshoe shaped gallery for the congregation.
