Lower Shuckburgh, Warwickshire
Set in a village, which is owned by Shuckburgh Estate.
Lower Shuckburgh church stands towards the end of the village and was built to replace original church, destroyed by fire in 1860. John Croft, an architect from London, was hired to design and build our church, by Sir Frederick Shuckburgh. His son brought Moorish designs from the Crimean War back to England. It was completed in 1864.
It’s unique exterior and interior Moorish architectural style attracts visitors and is a must to see and behold!
