Moving into a traditional church building can be both an exciting opportunity and a significant responsibility. This session is designed for congregations new to historic church buildings, offering practical guidance to help you understand what’s involved and make informed, confident decisions from the outset.

This free ONLINE workshop is for anyone involved with a church, chapel or meeting house in the UK who wants to learn more about our grants.

This informal event will provide information on our grants and the other support we offer in Scotland. Join us to hear about fundraising and church maintenance, plus an opportunity to meet and hear from others caring for places of worship, the challenges they face and their success stories.

WCVA are pleased to host Benefact Trust and National Churches Trust for an online Meet the Funders event for Wales. They will present on the format of funding rounds, explain eligibility criteria and funding priorities, provide some key tips on submitting a strong application and take part in a Q&A session with attendees.

This session highlights the importance of preventative maintenance and how a planned, proactive approach can help protect heritage, reduce long-term costs, and encourage shared responsibility. You will hear practical insights from our officers, drawing on decades of experience caring for historic church buildings.

Many churches rent out their church hall or church building for events, community activities and for local businesses to use. This can generate income for facility upkeep or community support. In this helpful, informal session, Hallmaster UK will share their experience of working with churches, chapels and meeting houses across the country. They will share some best practice and introduce the Hallmaster system.
