St Deiniol

Mae eglwys wedi’i chysegru i Sant Deiniol wedi sefyll ar y safle hwn ers y chweched ganrif. Mae’r gynulleidfa’n ymfalchïo yn y cysylltiad rhwng yr eglwys a theulu y Prif Weinidog Fictoraidd, William Ewart Gladstone.
The Grade II listed Victorian building has undergone sympathetic major redevelopments to create an attractive worship area, a cafe and a soft play area. Widely used by the community the building is open daily as a cafe and to offer a quiet space.
Built as a Congregational Church in 1868 on the main shopping street of the attractive spa town of Ilkley the church became part of the United Reformed Church in 1972. In 1981 the Methodists and URC members in the town joined together in the current building which was modified at that time to create a worship area at the level of the previous balcony with a hall beneath.
The adjacent Riddings Hall has seen service as a lecture hall, auction showroom and most recently, in 2015, after a major building project, Dan’s Den opened offering soft play to children and their carers.
The adjacent schoolroom is now the Christchurch Café serving refreshments daily between 10am and 3.30pm.
