Christ Church is Victorian era church in north Halifax with a vibrant, Christian community.

There are two distinct reasons for coming here. The rare medieval wooden effigies and the association with the great nonconformist missionary William Carey (1761–1834).

The church has been a part of the village since 1175 and in 2025 will be 850 years old.

This is one of those extraordinarily atmospheric churches that escaped the Victorian improvers.

An historic church with numerous stained glass windows depicting biblical and local scenes, ancient frescoes and a very warm welcome, founded in the 13th century and serving the community of Rhuddlan ever since.

Near the North Wales Pilgrims Way and was founded in the 5th century by St Nefydd, this church has significant links to Welsh culture and language with Catherine of Berain, cousin of Elizabeth I and known as the Mother of Wales, said to be buried here.

Grosmont sits within yards of the Wales/England border, here formed by the River Monnow. The church is cruciform, with an unusual octagonal tower.

This lovely church is 12th century, the village is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) as Austin.

St James the Great, with its Bronte and Anne Lister connections is situated in the beautiful Calder Valley, with its literary and industrial heritage.
