St Conan's Kirk is a unique church with an example of almost every style of ecclesiastical architecture, all created by the vision of it's founder and architect.

With its whitewashed walls shining brightly against the green hillside behind, this rare octagonal church stands out for several reasons.

The cathedral, the facade of which is in the Victorian Gothic design, was built by the architect George Mathewson and opened on 7 August 1836.
