We are a Church of Ireland parish with a very beautiful building, and a very welcoming atmosphere.

Consecrated in 1876 as the Cathedral of the Isles, this is the smallest in Britain and an architectural gem.

References to the Holy Trinity in St Andrews can be traced back over 1,000 years and the oldest parts of the current building are the tower and some of the pillars, which date back to the church built here in 1412.

Originally at Dumfries, our Benedictine monastery owes its beginnings to the initiative of Marcia, Lady Herries.

Nestled in the hillfoots town of Alva, the church stands as a testament to centuries of faith, history, and community spirit.
