The church looks down through its quiet rural village towards Milton Abbey.

Tabernacle Chapel was founded in 1872 at a time when Llanelli was expanding rapidly, due to the growth of the steel and tin industry.

Milton Abbey occupies probably the most beautiful setting of any church in the county of Dorset, resting in a natural amphitheater surrounded by wooded hills, seemingly miles from anywhere.

This cathedral style church was completed in 1897 for the patients and staff of Crichton Royal Hospital.

The church has a 13th century chancel but the whole of the rest of the church is, unusually, the product of one building campaign, of about 1470, and is fashionably embattled.
