A traditional village church that welcomes all.

It is difficult to accurately date the church's foundation or the present building but It is certainly ancient and parts of a moat remain which once enclosed a good five acres including both the church and adjacent East Mersea Hall.

The oldest church in the City of London.

The church was completed in May 1864, the north aisle was added around 1890.

The original church was built in the 12th century but the current St Augustine’s was designed by famous 19th century architect William Butterfield.

Westminster Cathedral is a supreme achievement of art with many distinguished works of artistic merit.

The Chapel of St Mary Undercroft was completed by King Edward I in 1297, further developed under Edward II, and finally completed by Edward III in around 1365.

Westminster Abbey presents a unique pageant of British history; the shrine of St Edward the Confessor, the tombs of kings and queens, and countless memorials to the famous and the great, it has been the setting for every Coronation since 1066 and for numerous other royal occasions.

The church was built in 1841 by George Manners of Bath.

The nave is 14th century but much Victorianised.

Historical documents refer to St Peter's as a Royal Chapel as early as the 12th century, today it is a Chapel Royal and Royal Peculiar; directly under the jurisdiction of The Queen.

A strong and magnificent pile which commands the attention of all judicious observers, built and fitted out between 1714 and 1729, St George in the East was one of fifty new churches planned for London, although only twelve were completed.
