The dedication to The Holy Paraclete is unique in England.

Towering over the town of Barmouth is the cathedral sized church of St John the Evangelist, primarily funded and furnished by the Perrins family of Lea & Perrins Worcester sauce, it is well worth the climb up the hill to visit.

St Kentigern, also called St Mungo, has been linked to Mungrisdale since about 550 AD and the present church, rebuilt in 1756, probably replaced one on the site of one of St Kentigern's original crosses.

This is one of Cumbria's finest small churches, hidden away down a stone walk, with, uniquely, a stone bell tower on the hill above.

A church at Llandegfan was recorded in 1254, probably where St Tegfan had established a cell in the 6th century.

In 1811 the newly erected church could somehow seat 256 people plus 94 other and had a capacity congregation each Sunday.

A 19th century church, opened in 1837 but at least the third on the site, the earliest dating back to the 1100s and built by monks from Tynemouth.

The architect responsible for the design of St John the Evangelist was Major Rohde Hawkins.

St Peter's has recently been remodelled which gives better access to the community.

St Mary’s is a beautiful 19th century Victorian Gothic building, the third church on this site in Andover where God has been worshipped for over a thousand years.
