For more than 1000 years a building has stood on this spot, Saxons and Normans, Tudors and Elizabethans, Victorians and even us today have left their mark on it.

The church was built in 1825, with seating for 350 people, a schoolroom and classrooms that were opened later, in 1852. It was built as an impressive town centre Congregational Chapel.

A Victorian building designed by architect Edward Hughes in 1871; we are open 363 days of the year during daylight hours.
