St Mary's church is sited in the grounds of Riseholme Hall and was built by Bishop John Kaye.

St Luke’s most outstanding features are the beautiful stained glass windows and the memorial to Mary Jane Lovell, who went to Palestine in 1892 and founded the Lovell Society for the Blind.

Dating from Saxon times, the church has many beautiful stained glass windows plus the Hayward east window.
