A church at Llandegfan was recorded in 1254, probably where St Tegfan had established a cell in the 6th century.

Principally 15th century church built in the perpendicular style overlooking the village green and surrounded by orchards.

Our Lady's Catholic church is a glorious vaulted building, designed by Edward Welby Pugin.

Designed by George Street, with windows by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones.

The Norman / Victorian church is dedicated to St Mary, the mother of Jesus and to the Roman Saint Laurence, who traditionally was martyred by being roasted alive on a gridiron.

Still Norman in feel despite Victorian restoration in 1876, Burmarsh church is entered through a Norman doorway over which is carved a face that looks anything but friendly.

During the reign of Henry II, the church was given to the priory of Thurgarten.
