Perched on the side of a hill overlooking the estuary of the River Towy and the magnificent sweep of Carmarthen Bay, this church has been a place of worship for more than a thousand years, and a chapel of ease for pilgrims on the route to St David’s in Pembrokeshire.

Holy Trinity is listed Grade I ‘as a largely complete early medieval church which has retained its character and has a number of important features’.

This Grade I church is cruciform, mainly 13th and 14th century, with a spire originally constructed in 1510.

The Grade I church is well grouped with the Tudor manor.

In 1722 a fine early Georgian church was erected to the design of Thomas Eayre of Kettering (1691-1757), surveyor, clock maker, and bell founder (the bells here are by him as well).

The church was built in 1841 by George Manners of Bath.
